The NSW Aboriginal Gathering
The NSW Aboriginal Gathering Project received funding from the former Department of Ageing, Disability and Home Care (DADHC). The NSW Gathering Committee drives the direction of the project, and consists of an all-Aboriginal committee with various experience across the Aged Care and Disability sectors.
The NSW Aboriginal Gathering Project Officer:
- Updates the Committee’s policy position on best-practice in service delivery in Aged Care and Disability
- Collects community feedback on current issues within the Aged Care and Disability sectors- and works with Aboriginal workers in this area
- Provides sector support and capacity building, through presentations and workshops on Aboriginal best-practice in Disability and Aged Care
